Fitbods Fitness Studio is in Loule, 15 mins from Faro airport in the Algarve, Portugal. We are 10 mins from the beach.
We offer a full range of group fitness classes to the local residents as well as running Fitness Weekends here in the Algarve. It is owned by Karen Roberts and Lee McIntosh, ex UK National trainer for Les mills Bodycombat, Bodypump and RPM. We have one main studio where we teach a wide range of group fitness classes, a Spin Studio, Treatment Room, changing rooms and reception/waiting area.
This is our family. Lee McIntosh, Karen Roberts and children Ella & Danielle. We left the UK in 2003 to move to the sunny Algarve for a better quality of life. Thanks to the teachings of Bob Proctor and his born rich programme, we took a risk and with a lot of faith, persistence and determination we set up our own fitness studio. Teaching fitness is our passion.We have both been in the fitness industry for more than 15 years. Since 1995 when Les Mills programmes hit the UK, our passion for teaching pre-choreographed group fitness classes went into overdrive. The launch of Bodypump and Bodycombat was just what we were looking for. Lee went on to be a National Trainer on the UK team and taught instructors all over the UK and also here in Portugal as a guest. Getting up on stage in front of more than 600 people was a dream come true.
Karen also worked for the same company as a National Assessor, giving feedback to new instructors throughout the UK. Karen has a Diploma in Fitness Training and Sports Therapy. After working for a rugby club as the team therapist for 2 years, Karen opened her own sports injury clinic in south London.
Now with our very own fitness studio here in the Algarve we are free to do what we love teaching great fitness classes, personal training, massage and injury treatments aswell as giving dietary advice and helping people reach their fitness goals.
We are both big believers in the teachings of the Law of Attraction. The DVD The Secret was a huge tool that helped us achieve our goals. Bob Proctor is our mentor. We believe that you should do what you love.
